I can’t stop watching this video for the new single on Natasha Khan’s upcoming release “Two Suns.” Great song, great direction, costumes and modern dance + a Karate Kid concept. Directed by Johan Renck in Sweden. (Renck directed the film “Downloading Nancy” which was nominated at Sundance last year.)
Justifying her infatuation with Karate Kid (the album cover features her naked on a beach with Daniel’s face body-painted on her back), this release is “a record of modern-day fables exploring dualities on a number of levels – two lovers, two planets, two sides of a personality” and deals with “the philosophy of the self and duality…”
It’s already been almost two entire years since we saw that video for “What’s a Girl To Do?” which featured BMX’ing furries and amazing, creepy imagery.
