Andrew WK is not a musician but the most successful mixed-media Hegelian art project of this and the last century. It was obvious at the beginning ten years ago and with the newest wave of press conferences, rogue whistleblowers and videos, it’s absurdly evident now— past the point where anyone who has not yet experienced its ten year existence could begin to figure it out.
It took ten years and now it takes two minutes, but the reward is echoed. Those without the patience to sit through a short video surely won’t have the character needed to work a lifetime to craft his or her authentic self.
